What is Explore the Magic of Motion®?

A signature summit and consultation service, offering physical therapy exploration programs to the community and cultural competence education with an outreach toolkit for healthcare providers.

 

Are Explore Motion™ programs just for scouts?

Though our Physical Therapy Patch Program is for Girl Scouts, our events and programs are open for all children K-12th grade another guardians.

What is The Compass™ App?

The Compass™ app, all-in-one event management tool for marketing or finding an event, recruiting volunteers, managing the agenda and more. With the app, all individuals can:

- Access event flyers with registration information.

- To perform functions such as contact a host, register as a volunteer or host, an individual must create an account. Create an account HERE.

 

Who can host events on The Compass™ App?

Only Navigator Network (NN) Members in good standing can host events on The Compass or explorethemagicofmotionllc.com. As a host, with The Compass™ App, you can:

- Post and Manage Your Events.

- Recruit and Manage Event Volunteers.

- Create a Profile Page with Event Listing.

- Check In Participants and Record Activity Scores.

 

How do I create a host account on The Compass™ App?

Step 1: Register for one of our Certification Courses.

Step 2: Purchase a Membership Plan.

Step 3: Create an account on The Compass™ App.

Step 4: Complete a Host Application.

Applicants must have an active membership, completed their training course and/or satisfy volunteer requirements to have their host access approved.

 

Do all Explore the Magic of Motion® events need to be listed on The Compass™?

Explore the Magic of Motion® events should be listed on The Compass™Only events listed on The Compass with participants and volunteers attendance confirmed are eligible for future discounts or special offers for previous attendees.

 

How do I create a volunteer account on The Compass™ App?

Step 1: Create an account HERE.

Step 2: Complete Volunteer Registration.

 

What access does a volunteer account on  The Compass™ App allow?

As a volunteer, you will be able to register at Explore Motion™ events near you and track your volunteer hours. Once checked in, you can:

- Check In Participants

- Add Participant Activity Scores

- View your Agenda & Assignments 

Once the host confirms your attendance and marks the event complete, The Compass™ will track your volunteer hours.

 

How do I become an Explore the Magic of Motion® host?

The first step is to attend an Inspire Motion™ Basic I, Basic II, or Advance Host Training. To view the dates and locations of upcoming trainings, visit our Inspire Motion Page. To become an Explore the Magic of Motion®  certified Host, individuals must be a physical therapist/physical therapist assistant, student physical therapist/student physical therapist assistant. We also offer a Basic III training for licensed medical providers.

What is the difference between Basic I, Basic II, Basic III and Advance host trainings? 

There are three entry-level Host Trainings available to non-EMM Instructors: Basic I, Basic II & Basic III. 


The Inspire Motion Basic I Host Training (also known as Guide Training) is a course designed for students currently enrolled in their physical therapy or physical therapy assistant program. Training can occur over 15 weeks or 36 weeks. This training gives you the groundwork you need to host our Magic of Motion™ event and fun patch program for Girl Scouts. Upon completion of training, verification of volunteer hours and confirmation of licensure, participants become certified Guides

The Inspire Motion Basic II Host Training (also known as Navigator Training) is a course designed for licensed physical therapists or physical therapy assistants. Training can occur over 6 weeks or 12 weeks with a total of 8 hours of live virtual instruction. Participants must host an event within 3-6 months of completing the training for full host certification. This Host Training gives you the groundwork you need to host our Healthy Teams™, Magic of Motion™, Healing Through Motion™, and Healing People, Changing Lives™ events and all three fun patch programs for Girl Scouts. 

 

The Inspire Motion Basic III Host Training (also known as Guide-Non-PT Training) is a course designed for licensed medical providers. This Instructor Training gives you the groundwork you need to host our Healthy Teams™ event.


The Inspire Motion Advance Host Training (also known as Senior Navigator Training) is a course designed for licensed physical therapists or physical therapy assistants who are also educators in PT/PTA programs and/or clinical instructors. This Host Training gives you the groundwork to offer Basic I training to PT/PTA students and host our Healthy Teams™, Magic of Motion™, Healing Through Motion™, and Healing People, Changing Lives™ events and all three fun patch programs for Girl Scouts as service-learning opportunities for students.

Note: To receive the Host license after all training, you must purchase a Stay in Motion Membership Plan to be a member of the Navigator Network.

How do I sign up for Inspire Motion Host host training?

In order to sign up for a Host Training, go to "Certification Courses" on explorethemagicofmotionllc.com and locate your Host Training of choice. Then fill out the form with your billing and participant information as well as your credit card information. (Note: If you do not have a promotional code, please leave it blank.)

Also, when you type in your email address, please be careful and make sure it is accurate. Your receipt and all correspondence will be sent to this address. In addition, make sure your name is typed exactly as you would like it to appear on your host certificate.

After I have signed up for Inspire Motion host training, what’s next?

After submitting your registration, you will receive an email confirming that the registration is complete. Expect a second email about a week before the Host Training from the training Instructor with information to register for the zoom sessions, membership plan, pre-course materials and any other logistical details.

How long is an Explore the Magic of Motion® Host certification valid?

If you register for and successfully complete your training, your license is valid for six months from the date of your training. Explore the Magic of Motion® provides numerous opportunities for continuing education and requires all hosts to maintain membership in good standing. Good Standing includes maintaining active membership (New Grad, Standard, Premier) and marking at minimum one event complete/annually on The Compass™ App. 

 

What is my “initial term” as a Explore the Magic of Motion® Host Certification? 

When you originally sign up for the Stay in Motion Membership plan, you commit to a six-month membership. Your membership will automatically renew on a monthly or 12-month basis (depending on your initial payment plan) unless you cancel your membership according to Explore the Magic of Motions® terms and conditions.

 

What is the Navigator Network member discount for Explore the Magic of Motion® products and services?

The discount varies by membership plan. Please note that you have to be logged in to your account to receive your discount.
